This has been a labor of love. To share with the world the wonderful lessons my father taught me is an honor and privilege.

We’re announcing Veteran’s Day because Dad was a 20-year veteran of the US Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He had so much influence on who I am today and the work that I do. Thank you to all who serve.

If you're a business owner, manager, or leader: this book is for you.
If you run a non-profit: this book is for you.
If you run a household or classroom: this book is for you.

These are Dad’s very practical life lessons that can be applied for your work and your daily life. He understood that big rewards often come from smaller habits and actions.  He knew that WHO we are is even more important than what we do.  The personal discipline you apply to life will also be reflected in the success of your work, and our behavior matters.  He raised me to understand this, and I’ve been able to share that wisdom as a Business Coach.

Read his stories about growing up on a farm, defending our nation, raising a family, helping run a church…and so much more.  Dad was successful in all areas of his life, despite the ups and downs that we all face.

Included in the book are the leadership lessons, but we also have the comments from many who loved him, lots of pictures, his Story Worth answers, and more. Dad shared timeless lessons that are often overlooked as obvious or basic, but they are neither.

This book is not a collection of abstract leadership ideas or borrowed philosophies. These pages come from the life experience of an octogenarian who lived a full and meaningful life. The lessons I share were witnessed firsthand, shaped by a father who demonstrated his values in the way he lived.

This book is, at its heart, a tribute and much more. It is a continuation of a legacy that is still actively shaping people, teams, and organizations.

“

I’m so grateful for his wisdom over the years; it only seems right to share it.
